AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Pennsylvania Higher Education
2 Assistance Agency for the purpose of providing an issuer
3 contribution to provide financial support for the
4 continuation of the agency's direct loan program.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The sum of $10,000,000 is hereby specifically
8 appropriated to the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance
9 Agency FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1990, TO JUNE 30, 1991, to be <--
10 transferred at the request of the agency and deposited in the
11 Higher Education Assistance Fund as requested by the agency for
12 payment directly or as reimbursement to the agency for costs
13 incurred as a required issuer contribution associated with the
14 issuance of future tax-exempt debt for the purpose of funding
15 the agency's nonsubsidized Stafford student loan originations
16 beginning July 1, 1990.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
