AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Philadelphia University of the
2 Arts, Philadelphia.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $841,000 is hereby appropriated to the
6 Philadelphia University of the Arts, Philadelphia, for the
7 fiscal year July 1, 1989, to June 30, 1990, for instruction and
8 student aid.
9 Section 2. Payments to the Philadelphia University of the
10 Arts on account of the appropriation provided in section 1 shall
11 be made by the Secretary of Education in equal quarterly
12 payments.
13 Section 3. The Philadelphia University of the Arts shall
14 provide such information as may be necessary to carry out the
15 provisions of this act and in such form and manner as the
16 Department of Education shall prescribe.
17 Section 4. The Philadelphia University of the Arts shall
1 report its revenues and expenditures and present its financial
2 statement in accordance with generally accepted accounting
3 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set
4 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual (1975)" and the
5 "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Budget Instructions for the State
6 System of Higher Education, State-Related Universities and Non-
7 State-Related Colleges and Universities."
8 Section 5. This act shall take effect July 1, 1989, or
9 immediately, whichever is later.
