AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 1, 1981 (P.L.191, No.57), entitled "An
2 act establishing certain fees to be charged by registers of
3 wills in counties of the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth
4 class and providing for fees in counties of the second,
5 second A, third and fourth class," providing for the fees to
6 be levied by register of wills in counties of the second
7 through fourth EIGHTH class. <--
8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9 hereby enacts as follows:
10 Section 1. Section 2 of the act of July 1, 1981 (P.L.191, <--
11 No.57), entitled "An act establishing certain fees to be charged
12 by registers of wills in counties of the fifth, sixth, seventh
13 and eighth class and providing for fees in counties of the
14 second, second A, third and fourth class," is repealed.
15 SECTION 1. THE TITLE OF THE ACT OF JULY 1, 1981 (P.L.191, <--
16 NO.57), ENTITLED "AN ACT ESTABLISHING CERTAIN FEES TO BE CHARGED
17 BY REGISTERS OF WILLS IN COUNTIES OF THE FIFTH, SIXTH, SEVENTH
18 AND EIGHTH CLASS AND PROVIDING FOR FEES IN COUNTIES OF THE
19 SECOND, SECOND A, THIRD AND FOURTH CLASS," IS AMENDED TO READ:
1 AN ACT
2 ESTABLISHING CERTAIN FEES TO BE CHARGED BY REGISTERS OF WILLS IN
3 COUNTIES OF THE FIFTH, SIXTH, SEVENTH AND EIGHTH CLASS AND
4 PROVIDING FOR FEES IN COUNTIES OF THE SECOND[, SECOND A,
5 THIRD AND FOURTH] THROUGH EIGHTH CLASS.
6 SECTION 2. SECTION 2 OF THE ACT IS REPEALED.
7 Section 2 3. The act is amended by adding a section to read: <--
8 Section 2.1. In counties of the second, second A, third,
9 fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth classes, the register
10 of wills may establish, increase, decrease, modify or eliminate
11 fees and charges with the approval of the President Judge within
12 60 days of the effective date of this section. Thereafter, such
13 fees and charges shall not be established, increased, decreased,
14 modified or eliminated except by an act of the General Assembly.
15 Section 3 4. This act shall take effect in 60 days. <--
