AN ACT
1 Providing for the observance of July 27 of each year as "Korean
2 War Veterans Day."
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Korean War Veterans Day.
6 In recognition of the courage and unwavering patriotism of
7 those valiant men and women of the armed forces of the United
8 States who served during the Korean War, July 27 of each year is
9 hereby designated as "Korean War Veterans Day." The Governor is
10 authorized and requested to issue a proclamation each year
11 calling upon the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to
12 honor the men and women of the armed forces of the United States
13 who fought for their country during the Korean War, and to
14 observe that day with appropriate honors, ceremonies and
15 prayers.
16 Section 2. Effective date.
17 This act shall take effect immediately.
