AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation of certain revenue surplus to the
2 Department of Revenue for allocation to municipalities to
3 replace funds lost by the elimination by Congress of the
4 Federal Revenue Sharing Program.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The sum of $143,250,000 from the revenue surplus
8 accumulated in the fiscal year 1986-1987 is hereby appropriated
9 to the Department of Revenue for allocation to the counties,
10 cities, boroughs, incorporated towns and townships of the
11 Commonwealth in the same ratio as such counties, cities,
12 boroughs, incorporated towns and townships received funds under
13 the Federal Revenue Sharing Program in the fiscal year 1986-
14 1987, prior to the elimination by Congress of that program.
15 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
