                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of April 10, 1974 (P.L.247, No.59), entitled
     2     "An act selecting, designating and adopting the firefly as
     3     the official insect of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,"
     4     further providing for the species of firefly which is the
     5     official insect of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  Section 1 of the act of April 10, 1974 (P.L.247,
     9  No.59), entitled "An act selecting, designating and adopting the
    10  firefly as the official insect of the Commonwealth of
    11  Pennsylvania," is amended to read:
    12     Section 1.  The firefly [(Lampyridae)] (Lampyridae
    13  Coleoptera) of the species Photuris pensylvanica De Geer is
    14  hereby selected, designated and adopted as the official insect
    15  of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
    16     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
