AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for axle tax.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
6 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
7 § 9911. Replacement vehicles.
8 If a person acquires a vehicle to replace one on which the
9 tax imposed under section 9902 (relating to imposition of axle
10 tax) has been paid, a credit shall be allowed toward the tax due
11 on the acquired vehicle, based on the amount of tax paid on the
12 replaced vehicle and the months remaining in the replaced
13 vehicle's tax year.
14 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
