AN ACT
1 Amending the act of November 26, 1978 (P.L.1212, No.286),
2 entitled "An act authorizing an employee to inspect certain
3 personnel files of his employer," changing the definition of
4 "employee."
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The definition of "employee" in section 1 of the
8 act of November 26, 1978 (P.L.1212, No.286), referred to as the
9 Inspection of Employment Records Law, is amended to read:
10 Section 1. Definitions.
11 The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
12 have, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the
13 meanings given to them in this section:
14 "Employee." Any person who is currently employed, laid off
15 with reemployment rights or on leave of absence, or whose
16 employment has been terminated either voluntarily or
17 involuntarily. The term "employee" shall not include applicants
18 for employment, designated agents, or any other person.
