AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Trustees of the Buhl Science
2 Center.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $165,000 is hereby appropriated to the
6 Trustees of the Buhl Science Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
7 for the fiscal year July 1, 1985, to June 30, 1986, for the
8 general operation of the planetarium and institute and for
9 participation by a representative of the institution, appointed
10 by the chief executive officer thereof, as a member of the
11 Pennsylvania Academic Commission on Technological Development, a
12 commission for interinstitutional communication regarding
13 technological innovation and development and for dissemination
14 of information on such matters to the Pennsylvania business
15 community and others who may use such information for new
16 business and job development in Pennsylvania, such commission to
17 be composed of representatives of every State-owned or State-
1 related educational or scientific institution receiving General
2 Fund assistance from the Commonwealth.
3 Section 2. Payments to the Buhl Science Center on account of
4 the appropriation provided in section 1 shall be made quarterly
5 by the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Historical and
6 Museum Commission.
7 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 1985, or
8 immediately, whichever is later.
