AN ACT
1 Extending benefits to police chiefs or heads of police
2 departments of political subdivisions of the Commonwealth who
3 have been removed from bargaining units by the Pennsylvania
4 Labor Relations Board.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Salary of nonunion police officers.
8 Except in cities of first and second class, the chief,
9 superintendent or commissioner of police and other ranking
10 officers in a political subdivision of the Commonwealth who have
11 been removed from bargaining units under the act of June 24,
12 1968 (P.L.237, No.111), referred to as the Policemen and Firemen
13 Collective Bargaining Act, by rulings of the Pennsylvania Labor
14 Relations Board shall receive not less than the SAME DOLLAR <--
15 increase including fringe benefits EXCLUDING OVERTIME AND <--
16 FESTIVE HOLIDAY PAY as received by the highest ranking police
17 officer participating in the bargaining unit.
18 Section 2. Effective date.
1 This act shall take effect in 60 days JANUARY 1, 1985. <--
