                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Commending the Honorable Richard Caliguiri, Mayor of Pittsburgh,
     2     for taking action to help save the life of a nine-year-old
     3     girl.

     4     WHEREAS, On June 11, 1983, Mayor Richard Caliguiri took
     5  action which helped save the life of nine-year-old Kelly
     6  Rodgers; and
     7     WHEREAS, Kelly was unintentionally knocked down by a van in
     8  view of the Mayor and the Mayor risked his own safety by rushing
     9  in front of the van and pounding on the windshield for the
    10  driver to stop; therefore be it
    11     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives commend Mayor
    12  Richard Caliguiri for his courageous actions which helped save
    13  the life of Kelly Rodgers; and be it further
    14     RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be delivered to the
    15  Honorable Richard Caliguiri, Mayor of Pittsburgh.
