AN ACT
1 Providing for reimbursement to volunteer fire companies by
2 owners of certain vehicles.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Any volunteer fire company which provides fire
6 control or allied services at the scene of a vehicular accident
7 shall be reimbursed by the owner of the vehicle for which the
8 fire control or allied services are provided for the cost of any
9 fire-suppressing foam expended and for any damage sustained by
10 the fire company's vehicles or equipment in providing the fire
11 control or allied services.
12 Section 2. A volunteer fire company may initiate an action
13 in the appropriate court of common pleas to obtain the
14 reimbursement provided for in section 1.
15 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
