AN ACT 1 Making appropriations AN APPROPRIATION to the Pennsylvania <-- 2 College of Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 4 hereby enacts as follows: 5 Section 1. (a) The sum of $1,388,000 $968,000 is hereby <-- 6 appropriated to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, 7 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for the fiscal year July 1, 1984 to 8 June 30, 1985, for instruction and for participation by a 9 representative of the institution, appointed by the Chief 10 Executive Officer thereof, as a member of the Pennsylvania 11 Academic Commission on Technological Development, a commission 12 for inter-institutional communication regarding technological 13 innovation and development and for dissemination of information 14 on such matters to the Pennsylvania business community and 15 others who may use such information for new business and job 16 development in Pennsylvania, such commission to be composed of
1 representatives of every State-owned or State-related 2 educational or scientific institution receiving General Fund 3 assistance from the Commonwealth. 4 (b) The sum of $200,000 is hereby appropriated to the <-- 5 Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 6 for the fiscal year July 1, 1984 to June 30, 1985, for the Eye 7 Institute and External Clinical Services. 8 Section 2. Payments to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry 9 on account of the appropriations APPROPRIATION provided in <-- 10 section 1 shall be made quarterly by the Secretary of Education 11 on the basis of costs during the fiscal year. 12 Section 3. The Pennsylvania College of Optometry shall 13 provide such information and in such form and manner as the 14 Department of Education may prescribe. 15 Section 4. The Pennsylvania College of Optometry shall 16 report its revenues and expenditures and present its financial 17 statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting 18 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set 19 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual of 1975," without 20 exception. 21 Section 5.
