AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, by providing for a
3 poundage fee for prothonotaries and clerks of court in
4 certain instances.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
8 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
9 § 3562. Poundage fee on accrued interest.
10 All accrued interest earned on moneys paid into court shall
11 be paid to the county treasurer for the use of the city or
12 county, as the case may be, unless the court shall direct
13 otherwise. When the court directs that the interest be paid
14 otherwise, the prothonotary and clerk of courts shall then be
15 entitled to a poundage fee of 2% of the interest payable to the
16 county treasurer.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
