        AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON MILITARY AND VETERANS AFFAIRS,
           HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, MARCH 12, 1984

                                     AN ACT

     1  Designating December 7 as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

     2     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     3  hereby enacts as follows:
     4  Section 1.  Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
     5     December 7, 1983 1984, and the same day of each succeeding     <--
     6  year, is designated as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day in this
     7  Commonwealth in special tribute to those members of our Armed
     8  Forces who lost their lives and also to those who survived the
     9  attack on Pearl Harbor, Territory of Hawaii, December 7, 1941.
    10  Upon this date, in perpetuity, all citizens of this Commonwealth
    11  and the Nation are urged to pay homage to the members of our      <--
    12  Armed Forces for the manner in which they bore the attack.
    13  Section 2.  Effective date.
    14     This act shall take effect immediately.
