AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, prohibiting members of the General Assembly from
3 having issued legislative plates to be used on any foreign
4 vehicle.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 1339 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
8 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
9 § 1339. Legislative plate.
10 Upon application by a member of the General Assembly of the
11 Commonwealth or the Congress of the United States, the
12 department shall issue special registration plates indicating
13 that the vehicle is owned by a member of the Pennsylvania or
14 United States Senate or House of Representatives, as
15 appropriate. No member of the General Assembly who owns, leases,
16 drives or operates a foreign automobile or vehicle shall be
17 issued a legislative plate for that vehicle.
18 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
