AN ACT
1 Authorizing Lock Haven State College, with the approval of the
2 Governor, to acquire land in the City of Lock Haven, Clinton
3 County.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Lock Haven State College, with the approval of
7 the Governor, is hereby authorized to acquire in the name of the
8 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania a tract of land in the City of Lock
9 Haven and County of Clinton and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
10 bounded and described as follows:
11 Beginning at an iron pin on the southerly line of Susquehanna
12 Avenue, said iron pin being the southeastern corner of land of
13 the grantor, and being a distance of 487.20 feet along
14 Susquehanna Avenue from the southwestern corner of the
15 intersection of Hill Street and Susquehanna Avenue; thence in an
16 easterly direction along Susquehanna Avenue a distance of 425.30
17 feet to a point on the line of land of George A. Richard, et
18 ux.; thence in a southerly direction along the line of land of
1 George A. Richard, et ux., a distance of 280.00 feet to a point
2 on Highland Street unopened; thence in a westerly direction
3 along the northerly line of Highland Street a distance of 433.85
4 feet to an iron pin at the corner of land of the County of
5 Clinton; thence along the line of land of the County of Clinton,
6 north 88 degrees 15 minutes east a distance of 280.13 feet to an
7 iron pin, the place of beginning.
8 The improvement thereon erected consists of a three story
9 concrete and brick building, formerly used as a hospital.
10 Being that tract of land acquired by the County of Clinton,
11 by a Deed from the Lock Haven Hospital, dated June 14, 1976,
12 recorded in Clinton County Deed Book 257, Page 152, situate in
13 the Third Ward of the City of Lock Haven, Clinton County,
14 Pennsylvania, being Lots Nos. 261, 262, 263 and the southern
15 portion of Lot No. 264 in Price's Addition to the City of Lock
16 Haven.
17 Section 2. The land shall not be acquired until its title
18 has been approved as provided by law.
19 Section 3. Costs and fees incidental to this conveyance
20 shall be borne by the grantee.
21 Section 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
