AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Hahnemann Medical College and
2 Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. (a) The sum of $3,673,000 is hereby appropriated
6 to the Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, Philadelphia,
7 Pennsylvania, for its fiscal year July 1, 1983 to June 30, 1984,
8 for instruction in the Doctor of Medicine program.
9 (b) The sum of $175,000 is hereby appropriated to the
10 Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital of Philadelphia,
11 Pennsylvania, for its fiscal year July 1, 1983 to June 30, 1984,
12 for the general maintenance of the Hahnemann Medical College and
13 Hospital, including the Allied Health, Professions and Graduate
14 School of the Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, and
15 student aid.
16 Section 2. Payments to the Hahnemann Medical College and
17 Hospital on account of the appropriations provided in section 1
1 shall be made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the
2 basis of costs during the fiscal year.
3 Section 3. The Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital shall
4 provide such information as may be required to carry out the
5 provisions of this act and in such form and manner as the
6 Department of Education may prescribe.
7 Section 4. The Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital shall
8 report its revenues and expenditures and present its financial
9 statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting
10 principles and procedures for educational institutions as set
11 forth in the "Higher Education Finance Manual of 1975," without
12 exception.
13 Section 5. This act shall take effect July 1, 1983 or, if
14 enacted subsequent to that date, then immediately.
