                                     AN ACT

     1  Conferring limited residency status on military personnel and
     2     their dependents assigned to an active duty station in
     3     Pennsylvania.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  From and after the effective date of this act,
     7  the term "resident" or "residency" when used to determine the
     8  rate of tuition to be charged students attending State-owned
     9  institutions of higher learning shall be construed to mean and
    10  include any military personnel or their dependents who are
    11  assigned to an active duty station in Pennsylvania.
    12     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
