AN ACT
1 Making a continuing appropriation to the Department of
2 Environmental Resources for purposes of providing grants to
3 counties for costs in preparing official storm water
4 management plans.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The sum of $1,500,000 is specifically
8 appropriated to the Department of Environmental Resources to
9 provide grants to counties to assist or reimburse the counties
10 for costs in preparing official storm water management plans.
11 The grants shall be made in accordance with the rules and
12 regulations adopted by the Environmental Quality Board.
13 Section 2. Any grant made pursuant to section 1 shall be
14 equal to 50% of the allowable costs for the preparation of
15 official storm water management plans incurred by any county.
16 Section 3. For purposes of this act, any such State grants
17 shall be in addition to grants for similar purposes made to any
1 county by the Federal Government subject to the limitation that
2 the total State and Federal grants shall not exceed 50% of the
3 allowable costs incurred by the county.
4 Section 4. The appropriation made pursuant to section 1
5 shall be continuing and shall not lapse prior to June 30, 1984.
6 Section 5. This act shall take effect immediately.
