AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, requiring the department to establish and implement
3 a system to insure that all registered trucks and truck
4 tractors receive new registration plates each year.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 1331 of Title 75, act of November 25,
8 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
9 Statutes, is amended by adding a subsection to read:
10 § 1331. Issuance of registration plates.

12 (f) Registration plates for trucks and truck tractors.--The
13 department shall immediately establish and implement a system to
14 insure that all trucks and truck tractors registered pursuant to
15 this chapter and subject to the fees established by section 1916
16 (relating to trucks and truck tractors) receive, at each annual
17 registration or renewal, a new registration plate which is
18 clearly distinguishable from the registration plates issued for
1 the prior two years.
2 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
