                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for compensation for deputy sheriffs.

     2     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     3  hereby enacts as follows:
     4     Section 1.  In all counties of the second, second A, third,
     5  fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth classes, the fees and
     6  costs, including commissions and mileage, to be charged and
     7  received by the sheriff for each special deputy appointed by any
     8  sheriff, in case of any emergency, to assist him in executing
     9  any civil or criminal process or court order, or preserving the
    10  peace shall be $5 for one hour's service, in addition to the
    11  expenses incurred for the transportation and subsistence of such
    12  deputy while rendering such service.
    13     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
