                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing and directing the Department of General Services,
     2     with the Department of Environmental Resources and the
     3     Governor, to convey to Hartley Township, 1.308 acres of land
     4     situate in Hartley Township, Union County, Pennsylvania.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  The Department of General Services, with the
     8  approval of the Department of Environmental Resources and the
     9  Governor, is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the
    10  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to grant and convey to Hartley
    11  Township, the following tract of land situate in Hartley
    12  Township, Union County, Pennsylvania, bounded and described as
    13  follows:
    14     All that certain tract of land situate in the Village of Glen
    15  Iron, Township of Hartley County of Union, Commonwealth of
    16  Pennsylvania, more particularly bounded and described as
    17  follows:
    18     Beginning at an iron pin corner on the southern right-of-way


     1  of the abandoned Pennsylvania Railroad line in the Village of
     2  Glen Iron and lying on the western right-of-way of Pennsylvania
     3  Route No. 235 and being a common corner of lands now or formerly
     4  of Richard Swartzlander and lands herein described; thence along
     5  the aforementioned right-of-way crossing Pennsylvania Route No.
     6  235 north 76 degrees 35 minutes east 705.90 feet to an iron pin
     7  corner common to lands last mentioned and lands now or formerly
     8  of Leroy C. Camp; thence along lands now or formerly of Leroy C.
     9  Camp south 4 degrees 35 minutes west 40.00 feet to iron pin
    10  corner common to lands last mentioned and also lands now or
    11  formerly of John R. Boop; thence by lands now or formerly of
    12  Boop and lands herein described south 71 degrees 2 minutes west
    13  263.52 feet to an iron pin; thence by same south 13 degrees 25
    14  minutes east 36.70 feet to iron pin corner common to lands last
    15  mentioned; thence by lands of John R. Boop, lands of Union
    16  County West End Fire Company, lands now or formerly of Walter G.
    17  Keefer and lands herein described recrossing Route No. 235 south
    18  76 degrees 35 minutes west 438.86 feet to a point on the western
    19  right-of-way of Pennsylvania Route No. 235 and being a common
    20  corner of lands now or formerly of Walter G. Keefer, lands now
    21  or formerly of Richard Swartzlander and lands herein described;
    22  thence by lands now or formerly of Swartzlander along the west
    23  side of Pennsylvania Route No. 235 north 9 degrees 40 minutes
    24  west 100.00 feet to an iron pin corner, place of beginning.
    25     Containing 1.308 acres of land as per survey of September
    26  1972 conducted under the direction of Henry F. Hartman,
    27  registered surveyor no. 10800-E.
    28     Being a portion of that same property described in a Deed of
    29  Conveyance from The Nature Conservancy to the Commonwealth of
    30  Pennsylvania dated March 22, 1972 A. D. and recorded in the

     1  Recorder of Deeds Office for Union County in Deed Book Volume
     2  125, Page 188.
     3     Section 2.  The Deed of Conveyance shall contain a clause
     4  that the lands conveyed shall be used for municipal purposes by
     5  Hartley Township and if at any time the township or its
     6  successor in function conveys said property or authorizes or
     7  permits said property to be used for any purpose other than
     8  municipal purposes, the title thereto shall immediately revert
     9  to and revest in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
    10     Section 3.  The Deed of Conveyance shall be approved by the
    11  Office of General Counsel and shall be executed by the Secretary
    12  of General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
    13  Pennsylvania.
    14     Section 4.  This act shall take effect immediately.
