                          In the House of Representatives, March 5, 1980

     1     Recently the Advisory Council on Social Security recommended
     2  to Congress that half of the Social Security benefits be
     3  included in taxable income for Federal income taxes. Such action
     4  would certainly be detrimental to the senior citizens of the
     5  Commonwealth; therefore be it
     6     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
     7  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania urges the United States Congress to
     8  reject the recommendations of the council; and be it further
     9     RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to each
    10  member of the United States House of Representatives from
    11  Pennsylvania and our two United States Senators.
