AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for emission inspections.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Section 4702 of Title 75, act of November 25,
6 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes, is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 4702. Requirement for periodic inspection of vehicles.

10 (e) Emission inspection program.--The department shall not
11 implement any regulations establishing a program for the
12 periodic inspection of the emissions or emission systems of
13 vehicles unless such regulations require the vehicles of every
14 member of Congress from the Commonwealth and the vehicles
15 registered by the members of their immediate families to be
16 similarly inspected. This requirement shall not be waived by the
17 department and shall be applicable regardless of the location of
1 the vehicles.
2 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
