AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Education for the
2 advertisement and promotion of the Federal decennial census.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $1,500,000, or as much thereof as may
6 be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the Department of
7 Education for the advertisement and promotion of the Federal
8 decennial census.
9 Section 2. The Department of Aging and the Department of
10 Public Welfare shall cooperate with the Department of Education
11 in the advertising and promotion program so that all categories
12 of citizens, including but not limited to, senior citizens,
13 racial and ethnic groups are adequately enumerated in the
14 Federal census.
15 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
