                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of December 15, 1959 (P.L.1779, No.673),
     2     entitled, as amended, "An act relating to fish, frogs,
     3     tadpoles and turtles; and amending, revising, consolidating
     4     and changing the law relating to fish in the inland waters
     5     and the boundary lakes and boundary rivers of the
     6     Commonwealth," further providing for licenses for disabled
     7     veterans and handicapped persons.

     8     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     9  hereby enacts as follows:
    10     Section 1.  Subsection (b) of section 220, act of December
    11  15, 1959 (P.L.1779, No.673), known as "The Fish Law of 1959,"
    12  amended December 6, 1967 (P.L.694, No.323), is amended to read:
    13     Section 220.  Resident Fishing License; Fees.--* * *
    14     (b)  (1)  Any disabled veteran of any war or armed conflict
    15  whose disability consists of the loss of one or more limbs, or
    16  the loss of the use of one or more limbs, or a veteran who is
    17  totally blind, or who presents a physician's certificate of
    18  [total or] from thirty to one hundred percent disability, and
    19  who meets the above qualifications shall be issued such license
    20  upon application to any county treasurer without the payment of

     1  the above license fee provided for the use of the Commonwealth.
     2  The application for the issuance of a license in such case
     3  shall, in addition to the other information required, contain a
     4  statement that the applicant is a war or armed conflict veteran
     5  and that his disability was service incurred. The county
     6  treasurer may likewise require of such applicant the production
     7  of such applicant's discharge papers.
     8     (2)  Any resident of the Commonwealth who is in full-time
     9  active service with the Armed Forces of the United States other
    10  than temporary active duty for training and during the time he
    11  is on official military leave, furlough, pass or on medical
    12  leave from such full-time active service shall, during the
    13  duration of the conflict in Vietnam, be issued such license upon
    14  application to any county treasurer within the Commonwealth
    15  without the payment of the above license fee provided for the
    16  use of the Commonwealth.
    17     (3)  The application for the issuance of a license in such
    18  case, shall, in addition to the other information required, give
    19  the serial number of the branch of service to which the
    20  applicant is attached, together with the applicant's rank,
    21  company, battalion, regiment, division, and other military
    22  organization. The applicant shall also furnish for the perusal
    23  of the county treasurer the official military papers stating
    24  that the said applicant is on official military leave, furlough,
    25  pass or on medical leave.
    26     (4)  Any person not so severly handicapped as provided in
    27  section 222 shall be entitled to receive a resident fishing
    28  license pursuant to this section upon the completion of the
    29  requirements of subsection (a). The fee for a handicapped
    30  person's license shall be six dollars ($6.00) and in the event

     1  that the license is issued by an issuing agent, a fee of twenty-
     2  five (25¢) for the use of the issuing agent.

     4     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
