                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, adding a provision relating to
     3     labeling reproductions of antiques.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 4102 of Title 18, act of November 25,
     7  1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known as the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     8  Statutes, is amended to read:
     9  § 4102.  Simulating objects of antiquity, rarity, etc.
    10     (a)  Simulating objects of antiquity.--A person commits a
    11  misdemeanor of the first degree if, with intent to defraud
    12  anyone or with knowledge that he is facilitating a fraud to be
    13  perpetrated by anyone, he makes, alters or utters any object so
    14  that it appears to have value because of antiquity, rarity,
    15  source, or authorship which it does not possess.
    16     (b)  Labeling reproductions.--A persons commits a summary
    17  offense if he sells or knowingly praticipates in the sale of any
    18  reproduction of an object of antiquity or rarity which is not


     1  conspicuously labeled as a reproduction.
     2     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
