AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 11, 1971 (P.L.104, No.3), entitled, as
2 amended, "An act providing property tax or rent rebate to
3 certain senior citizens, widows, widowers and permanently
4 disabled persons with limited incomes; establishing uniform
5 standards and qualifications for eligibility to receive a
6 rebate; and imposing duties upon the Department of Revenue,"
7 providing for an additional rebate for installation of
8 telephones.
9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
10 hereby enacts as follows:
11 Section 1. The act of March 11, 1971 (P.L.104, No.3), known
12 as the "Senior Citizens Property Tax or Rent Rebate Act," is
13 amended by adding a section to read:
14 Section 4.1. Telephone Installation Charge.--In addition to
15 the rebate authorized in section 4, a claimant shall be entitled
16 to a rebate for the cost of having a telephone installed. The
17 rebate shall be claimed at the same time and in the same manner
18 as a claim for tax or rent rebate is made.
19 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
