AN ACT
1 Amending the act of January 25, 1966 (1965 P.L.1546, No.541),
2 entitled "An act providing scholarships and providing funds
3 to secure Federal funds for qualified students of the
4 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who need financial assistance to
5 attend postsecondary institutions of higher learning, making
6 an appropriation, and providing for the administration of
7 this act," defining the capacity of minors.
8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9 hereby enacts as follows:
10 Section 1. The act of January 25, 1966 (1965 P.L.1546,
11 No.541), entitled "An act providing scholarships and providing
12 funds to secure Federal funds for qualified students of the
13 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who need financial assistance to
14 attend postsecondary institutions of higher learning, making an
15 appropriation, and providing for the administration of this
16 act," is amended by adding a section to read:
17 Section 8.3. Any person otherwise qualifying for any grant
18 under this act shall not be disqualified by reason of his being
19 under the age of eighteen and for the purpose of applying for
20 and receiving such grants any such person shall be deemed to
1 have full legal capacity to act and shall have all the rights,
2 powers, privileges, and obligations of a person of full age with
3 respect thereto.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
