                     Report of the Committee of Conference

        To the Members of the Senate and House of Representatives:

           We, the undersigned, Committee of Conference on the part of
        the Senate and House of Representatives for the purpose of
        considering Senate Bill No. 727, entitled:
        "An act making an appropriation to the Pennsylvania College of
        Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania."

        AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS, HOUSE OF
           REPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, JULY 22, 1975

                                     AN ACT

     1  Making an appropriation to the Pennsylvania College of
     2     Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  The sum of $220,000, or as much thereof as may be
     6  necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the
     7  Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
     8  for its fiscal period July 1, 1975 to June 30, 1976, for
     9  instruction.
    10     Section 2.  Payments to the Philadelphia College of
    11  Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on account of the
    12  appropriation provided in section 1 shall be on the basis of
    13  costs during the fiscal period.
    14     Section 3.  The college shall provide such information and in
    15  such form and manner as the Department of Education may
    16  prescribe.
    17     Section 4.  The Philadelphia College of Optometry,
    18  Philadelphia, Pennsylvania shall report its revenues and
    19  expenditures and present its financial statements in accordance
    20  with generally accepted accounting principles and procedures for
    21  educational institutions as set forth in the "Industry Audit
    22  Guide for Colleges and Universities" of the American Institute

     1  of Certified Public Accountants of 1973, without exception.
     2     Section 5.  This act shall take effect immediately.
