                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for information to be contained
     3     in certain reports and limiting the inspection of records.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Subsection (b) of section 6322 and section 6327
     7  of Title 75, act of November 25, 1970 (P.L.707, No.230), known
     8  as the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, added June 17, 1976
     9  (No.81), are amended to read:
    10  § 6322.  Reports by issuing authorities.

    12     (b)  Contents of report.--The report shall include the
    13  identifying number of the citation, the name and residence
    14  address of the party charged, the driver's license number, the
    15  registration number of the vehicle involved, a description of
    16  the offense, the section and subsection of the statute or
    17  ordinance violated, the date of hearing, the plea, the judgment
    18  or whether bail was forfeited, clear and concise reasons


     1  supporting the adjudication, the sentence or amount of
     2  forfeiture and such other information as the department may
     3  require. The provisions of this subsection requiring clear and
     4  concise reasons supporting adjudication and additional
     5  information for department purposes shall not apply to cities of
     6  the first class.

     8  § 6327.  Inspection of records.
     9     The records of the issuing authority, department and each
    10  police department required under this subchapter shall be open
    11  for inspection by [any police officer or authorized employee of
    12  the department, the Department of Justice] the Department of
    13  Revenue, the Auditor General and the Court Administrator of the
    14  Supreme Court.
    15     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1977.
