AN ACT
1 Providing for the continuance and use of tolls on the
2 Pennsylvania Turnpike system.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. All tolls charged for use of highways under the
6 jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission shall
7 continue after the bonds of the commission are paid.
8 Section 2. After the bonds issued for construction and
9 reconstruction of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and its extensions
10 are paid, revenues from tolls not necessary for the operation
11 and maintenance of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and its extensions
12 shall be paid into the Motor License Fund and used for the
13 design, engineering costs, and costs of environmental impact
14 statements and studies of State highways and the State share of
15 any such costs for a highway on the national system of
16 interstate and defense highways.
17 Section 3. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission shall not
18 issue any new bonds except as may be necessary to refinance
1 bonds already issued OR WHICH MAY BE NECESSARY FOR EXTENSIONS OR <--
2 IMPROVEMENTS.
3 Section 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
