AN ACT
1 Relating to the rights of grandparents to visit or have
2 temporary custody of their grandchildren in certain cases.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The courts of common pleas of this Commonwealth
6 may, upon petition thereto for a writ of habeas corpus, grant
7 grandparents reasonable visitation rights, as the court shall
8 determine, with respect to their grandchildren, regardless of
9 the marital status of the parents of the child or the
10 relationship of the grandparents to the person having custody of
11 the child.
12 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
