AN ACT
1 Amending the act of May 2, 1929 (P.L.1513, No.451), entitled, as
2 amended, "An act regulating the construction, equipment,
3 maintenance, operation and inspection of boilers and unfired
4 pressure vessels; granting certain authority to and imposing
5 certain duties upon the Department of Labor and Industry;
6 providing penalties for violations of this act; and repealing
7 all acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act,"
8 providing for the acceptance of boilers and pressure vessels
9 constructed or installed for original use outside this
10 Commonwealth.
11 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
12 hereby enacts as follows:
13 Section 1. The act of May 2, 1929 (P.L.1513, No.451),
14 referred to as the Boiler Regulation Law, is amended by adding a
15 section to read:
16 Section 4.2. Acceptance of Boilers and Pressure Vessels not
17 Originally Destined for Use within the Commonwealth.--Upon
18 special application to the department, boilers and pressure
19 vessels which were constructed and/or installed for original use
20 outside the Commonwealth or for use within Federal Government
21 installations, may be installed within the Commonwealth in
22 accordance with special requirements set forth in regulations of
1 the department for such boilers and pressure vessels.
2 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
