                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of October 17, 1969 (P.L.263, No.106), entitled
     2     "An act providing for the Traffic Court of Philadelphia,"
     3     increasing the fee of writ-servers.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 10, act of October 17, 1969 (P.L.263,
     7  No.106), entitled "An act providing for the Traffic Court of
     8  Philadelphia," is amended to read:
     9     Section 10.  The president judge of the traffic court shall
    10  appoint as writ-servers of the traffic court such number of
    11  individuals as shall be necessary and who shall execute warrants
    12  of arrests issuing out of the court. Such writ-servers shall
    13  possess such qualifications as the judges of the traffic court
    14  shall prescribe, and shall serve at the pleasure of the
    15  president judge of the traffic court. As compensation for their
    16  services, such writ-servers shall be paid by the violator a flat
    17  fee, with no additional charge for mileage, of [four dollars
    18  ($4)] five dollars ($5) for each warrant which the writ-server
    19  executes, upon collection of the fine and costs due the City of

     1  Philadelphia.
     2     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
