                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of April 29, 1959 (P.L.58, No.32), entitled "An
     2     act consolidating and revising the Vehicle Code, the Tractor
     3     Code, the Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Act and
     4     other acts relating to the ownership, possession and use of
     5     vehicles and tractors," providing for the use of certain
     6     moneys in the "Motor License Fund."

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  Section 1302, act of April 29, 1959 (P.L.58,
    10  No.32), known as "The Vehicle Code," amended March 3, 1970
    11  (P.L.88, No.39), is amended to read:
    12     Section 1302.  Fees, etc., Paid into Motor License Fund.--The
    13  department shall collect all fees payable under this act, and
    14  all other moneys received in connection with the administration
    15  of this act, and transmit them to the State Treasury where they
    16  shall be kept in the "Motor License Fund," separate and apart
    17  from all other moneys in the State Treasury. Four dollars
    18  ($4.00) [of the fee provided for in section 701 of this act,
    19  four dollars ($4.00)] of the fee provided for in section 702 of
    20  this act and four dollars ($4.00) of the fee provided for in

     1  section 702.1 shall only be withdrawn from the "Motor License
     2  Fund" for the purposes of highway safety and maintenance.
     3     The fee provided in section 701 of this act and section 717
     4  of the act in so far as the fees relate to motorcycles shall be
     5  only withdrawn from the "Motor License Fund" for purposes of an
     6  educational program for the safe operation of motorcycles in the
     7  public school system.
     8     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
