AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Department of Environmental
2 Resources for grants in aid to municipalities to control
3 arthropod vectors of human disease (mosquitoes, ticks, flies,
4 etc.).
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. The sum of $500,000, or as much thereof as may be
8 necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the Department
9 of Environmental Resources for the fiscal year July 1, 1974 to
10 June 30, 1975 for the payment of grants in aid to municipalities
11 for arthropod vector control programs.
12 Section 2. Arthropod vector control programs shall include,
13 but not be limited to, the elimination of breeding sites,
14 surveillance, administrative services, and community educational
15 activities designed to promote participation and support of such
16 programs by residents and property owners.
17 Section 3. The sum of $55,000, or as much thereof as may be
18 necessary, is hereby specifically appropriated to the Department
19 of Environmental Resources to pay for the administration of this
1 act.
2 Section 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
