                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of April 29, 1959 (P.L.58, No.32), entitled "An
     2     act consolidating and revising the Vehicle Code, the Tractor
     3     Code, the Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Act and
     4     other acts relating to the ownership, possession and use of
     5     vehicles and tractors," requiring persons who for
     6     compensation remove wrecked or disabled vehicles or tractors
     7     of another person from streets and highways to remove debris
     8     and prescribing penalties.

     9     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    10  hereby enacts as follows:
    11     Section 1.  Section 1222, act of April 29, 1959 (P.L.58,
    12  No.32), known as "The Vehicle Code," amended December 12, 1973
    13  (No.142), is amended by adding a subsection and a penalty clause
    14  to read:
    15     Section 1222.  Unattended, Abandoned or Wrecked Vehicles and
    16  Tractors; Contents and Loads.--

    18     (c)  Every person who, for a consideration, removes wrecked
    19  or disabled vehicles or tractors of another person from any
    20  street or highway shall also remove from such street or highway
    21  all debris resulting from accidents involving such vehicles or


     1  tractors.
     2     Penalty.--Any person violating subsection (c) of this section
     3  shall, upon summary conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine not
     4  exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00) and costs of
     5  prosecution, and, in default of the payment thereof, shall
     6  undergo imprisonment for not more than five (5) days.
