AN ACT
1 Regulating the contractual powers of individuals serving in
2 local political subdivision positions.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Any individual, including but not limited to
6 doctors, lawyers, contractors, or accountants, who serve in or
7 hold an elected or appointed office in a political subdivision
8 of this Commonwealth shall not have an interest, direct or
9 indirect, with any contract, construction or other matter in
10 which the political subdivision shall also have an interest.
11 Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be
12 barred for a period of five years from engaging in any business
13 or contract with any political subdivision of this Commonwealth.
14 Section 2. This act shall take effect in six months.
