                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of April 29, 1959 (P.L.58, No.32), entitled "An
     2     act consolidating and revising the Vehicle Code, the Tractor
     3     Code, the Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Act and
     4     other acts relating to the ownership, possession and use of
     5     vehicles and tractors," authorizing two warning lamps on
     6     certain vehicles.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  Subsection (d) of section 802, act of April 29,
    10  1959 (P.L.58, No.32), known as "The Vehicle Code," is amended to
    11  read:
    12     Section 802.  Additional Lights and Devices.--

    14     (d)  Warning Devices.--Any vehicle, used exclusively for
    15  repair or emergency purposes, may be equipped with, not to
    16  exceed, [one (1) warning lamp] two (2) warning lamps of a type
    17  approved by the secretary, to be used only in connection with
    18  repair or emergency work while the vehicle is stationary.

    20     Penalty.--Any person violating any of the provisions of this

     1  section, or any person who shall use a warning lamp of the type
     2  authorized by subsection (d) of this section while a vehicle is
     3  in motion, shall, upon summary conviction before a magistrate,
     4  be sentenced to pay a fine of ten dollars ($10.00) and costs of
     5  prosecution, and, in default of the payment thereof, shall
     6  undergo imprisonment for not more than five (5) days.
