AN ACT

Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes, providing for special plate to commemorate 9/11;

and making an appropriation.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

§ 1366.  Special plate to commemorate 9/11.

(a)  Plate.--The department, in consultation with Flight 93

National Memorial, Inc., shall design a special registration

plate to commemorate the events of September 11, 2001. Upon

application of any person, accompanied by a fee of $35 that

shall be in addition to the annual registration fee, the

department shall issue the plate for a passenger car, motor

home, trailer or truck with a registered gross weight of not

more than 10,000 pounds.

(b)  Appropriation.--Fifteen dollars from each additional fee

authorized under subsection (a) are appropriated to the Friends

of Flight 93 National Memorial, Inc. The funds appropriated

under this subsection must be used for the construction,

operation or maintenance of the Flight 93 National Memorial.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
