| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, further providing for relatives' |
3 | liability and procedure. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 4603(a)(2) of Title 23 of the |
7 | Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a |
8 | subparagraph to read: |
9 | § 4603. Relatives' liability; procedure. |
10 | (a) Liability.-- |

12 | (2) Paragraph (1) does not apply in any of the following |
13 | cases: |

15 | (iii) A child shall not be liable for the support of |
16 | a parent if the child has taken no overt action either to |
17 | voluntarily accept responsibility or to reasonably lead a |
18 | provider to believe that the child has voluntarily |
