| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the definition |
3 | of "dangerous weapon." |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. The definition of "dangerous weapon" in section |
7 | 913(f) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is |
8 | amended to read: |
9 | § 913. Possession of firearm or other dangerous weapon in court |
10 | facility. |

12 | (f) Definitions.--As used in this section, the following |
13 | words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this |
14 | subsection: |

16 | "Dangerous weapon." A bomb, grenade, blackjack, sandbag, |
17 | metal knuckles, dagger, [knife (the blade of which is exposed in |
18 | an automatic way by switch, push-button, spring mechanism or |

1 | otherwise) or other implement for the infliction of serious |
2 | bodily injury which serves no common lawful purpose.] knife, |
3 | cutting instrument, cutting tool, nunchaku and any other tool, |
4 | instrument or implement capable of inflicting serious bodily |
5 | injury. |

7 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
