AN ACT
1 Providing for publication of Auditor General audit reports.
2 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
3 hereby enacts as follows:
4 Section 1. Opportunity for comments to audit report.
5 When the Auditor General performs an audit, the audited
6 entity shall receive an advance copy of the audit report and
7 shall be given an opportunity to comment upon the audit's
8 findings prior to publication of the report.
9 Section 2. Limitation on comments.
10 Comments must be submitted by the audited entity within 15
11 days of receipt of the advance copy of the audit report and must
12 be concise and relevant to the findings of the audit.
13 Section 3. Incorporation of comments into audit report.
14 If the audited entity provides comments within 15 days, the
15 auditors shall objectively evaluate the comments, and a copy of
16 them shall be included in the text of the published audit
17 report.
1 Section 4. Effective date.
2 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
