                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for prostitution and
     3     related offenses.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 5902 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
     8  § 5902.  Prostitution and related offenses.
     9     * * *
    10     (e.1)  Prostitution near schools.--A person who loiters
    11  within 1,000 feet of the real property on which a public,
    12  private or parochial school is located for the purpose of being
    13  hired to engage in sexual activity or a person who knowingly
    14  promotes prostitution of another within 1,000 feet of the real
    15  property of these schools commits a misdemeanor of the second
    16  degree and shall, upon conviction, in addition to the minimum
    17  sentence imposed under subsections (a) and (c), be sentenced to

     1  an additional sentence of not less than three months nor more
     2  than six months total confinement and to pay a fine of not more
     3  than $5,000.
     4     (e.2)  Solicitation of prostitutes near schools.--A person
     5  who loiters within 1,000 feet of the real property on which a
     6  public, private or parochial school is located for the purpose
     7  of soliciting sexual activity from another person commits a
     8  misdemeanor of the second degree and shall, upon conviction, in
     9  addition to the minimum sentence imposed under subsections (a)
    10  and (c), be sentenced to an additional sentence of not less than
    11  three months nor more than six months total confinement and to
    12  pay a fine of not more than $5,000.
