AN ACT
1 Amending Title 24 (Education) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for election of multiple service
3 membership.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 8507(c) of Title 24 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 8507. Rights and duties of school employees and members.

10 (c) Multiple service membership.--Any active member who was
11 formerly an active member in the State Employees' Retirement
12 System may elect to become a multiple service member. [Such
13 election shall occur no later than 30 days after becoming an
14 active member in this system.]

16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
