                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1225, No.316), entitled
     2     "An act concerning game and other wild birds and wild
     3     animals; and amending, revising, consolidating, and changing
     4     the law relating thereto," providing penalties for harassment
     5     of game.

     6     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     7  hereby enacts as follows:
     8     Section 1.  The act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1225, No.316), known
     9  as "The Game Law," is amended by adding a section to read:
    10     Section 732.  Harassment of Game.--(a)  Any person is guilty
    11  of an unlawful act if he harasses, drives, or disturbs any game
    12  with the intent of disrupting the lawful taking, killing, or
    13  wounding or the attempted lawful taking, killing, or wounding of
    14  any game. Such a person shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to
    15  a fine of up to five hundred dollars ($500), imprisonment for up
    16  to thirty (30) days, or both.
    17     (b)  This section shall not apply to any owner of land, or
    18  his agent, who takes any otherwise lawful action on that land to
    19  protect the land, any building or other facilities, or any crops

     1  or other vegetation from damage by any game. This section shall
     2  also not apply to any member of the commission, the director of
     3  the commission, any lawfully qualified representative of the
     4  commission, or any other law enforcement officer engaged in any
     5  otherwise lawful action.
     6     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
