AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Community Affairs
2 for mine subsidence assistance.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $400,000, or as much thereof as may be
6 necessary, is hereby appropriated to the Department of Community
7 Affairs for the fiscal year July 1, 1986, to June 30, 1987, to
8 reimburse individuals and families who reside in cities of the
9 second class for the fair market value of homes which were
10 razed, or will be razed no later than December 31, 1986, by the
11 governing body of any such city because the residences were
12 determined to be structurally dangerous and unsafe for
13 habitation due to mine subsidence. The maximum amount of
14 reimbursement per building shall not exceed $40,000. Fair market
15 value of the affected properties shall be the fair market value
16 of the homes immediately prior to the occurrence of the
17 subsidence.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
