AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, prohibiting sale of liquid fuels and
3 fuels containing methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE).
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 7305.1. Liquid fuels and fuels containing MTBE.
9 No person shall sell or distribute any fuels or liquid fuels,
10 as defined in 75 Pa.C.S. § 9002 (relating to definitions),
11 containing methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE). Violation of this
12 section is a misdemeanor of the third degree.
13 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
